Maintain Customer /prospectors

First we have set up a company and chart of account. Now its time to establish subsidiary ledgers for Accounts Receivable. Maintain Customer/prospector window to enter, change, and store information about companies and people . For customer and prospectors  this includes such information
Name , Address, email, sale history ,sale account , etc
Subsidiary ledgers for Accounts Receivables are maintained through  Customer/Prospect option in Maintain Menu. To do this click we will click on Maintain menu and then on Charts of Accounts.


And then click on customer /protectors


This screen will appear in which there are two part header fields and tabs

In which you have enter ID and Name for customer and have also option to save, detect, change ,new, event the other box is TAB in which there are 5 different tabs Gernal Sale Default Payment Defaults Customer Field History
General tabs


The customer information such as contact information, address, phone and fax numbers, sales tax code, and beginning balances

Click on sale default tab this screen will appear


In which there sale representative, sale tax, open purchase order , ship via, Resale, price level
sale representative  enter the name which is post on sale paper
Sale account  in sale account we enter sale account number which we make in chart of account
Ship Via we are enter which type of company you send sale like fed-ex  etc
Resale if the costumer purchase item for resale enter number in its
Price Level there is various price level  to set the maintain inventory items
Payment defaults tabs



To enter data whose default customer to automatic deduct amount
Cardholder Name  the name of customer default
Address enter address of customer
Country the country where who live
Credit card number  in which credit card number
Expiration date in which enter date month and year
Customer fields tabs


To enter custom field information for the selected customer record, select the Custom Fields tab in the Maintain Customers/Prospects window.

History tab


select the History tab in the Maintain Customers/Prospects window. When entering a new customer, you can enter information on this tab; once you save the customer record, this tab is for display purposes only.

Customer Since: the date when you first made a sale to the customes
Last Invoice Date:  the date of the last invoice you sent to the customer
Last Invoice Amt:  the amount of the last invoice
Last Payment Date:  the date of the last payment you received from the customer
Last Payment Amt:  the last payment amount you received from the customer
Last Statement Date:  the date of the last statement you sent to the customer

setup a new company in peachtree


Setup a new company
First step open the Peachtree software in which there are 5 different options   we are click on setup a new company

This screen have introduction which give detail about next steps move the move click on next button the new screen will open name company information

In which there are important one box “company name “ you must write it. if you not write company name the next button will not work and other  information are not necessary  if you have write it otherwise go next button click on it .the chat account screen will appear

This  is chart of account  box in which there are different 5 radio box  the first two option for new account in one  option for retail, service, manufacture or distribution company setting already account and next radio circle for sample companies .the nest two option in which existing Peachtree account copy and other convert a company from other company. The last one build your own company account .if you build  own company account click it and press the next button .The  accounting method screen will appear

In which there are two method accrual and cash .in Accrual method when income recode invoice receive and expense recode when receive the bill from vender. In cash case cash and expense receive or paid then write it . many companies use accrual so click on it and press the next button and it can not be change  the new screen open position method

In which there are two option real and batch real time mean one entry in all account and in batch only one entry  one time move the mouse click on real time and press the next button the accounting period will appear
  
In which there are two option 12 month and accounting period if you have 12 month then click on it if you have more the 12 month then click other option .you select first option then press next button the monthly account period  wil appear
  
This screen provide information about period of account month and year start and end in last box select year when the start it and click next button the new screen open name congratulation

Why we make chart of accounts in Peach tree software
We make chart of accounts on this software because while making our new account. We choose the option of “build your own company” which requires new chart of accounts by account holder because you can’t copy the samples or existing chart of accounts.

How to edit the mistakes of chart of accounts         
Mistake of wrong account type or description:

Click on the option of the MAINTAIN on screen



And then click on option of chart of accounts

Correction in any chat of account

If you have a problem with account ID you need to change is by press the button
  then your old decode is open like this

Then the wrong ID double click on it

 change your ID and press on save it the other two problem are same type and  description procedure

How to open a file in world

Opening Microsoft Word Documents
We'll shortly add an address to the top of our Library Complaint letter. Before we do that, we'll learn how to open a file. After all, you might have closed down Microsoft Word, or your computer might have crashed. The result being that you no longer have your library letter loaded into Word. So here's how to Open a file you have saved, and want to work on again.
From the File menu, click Open:



The Open dialogue box appears, and looks like the image below:

The Open dialogue box looks very similar to the Save As dialogue box. "Save in", "File name", and "Files of type" work in exactly the same way as the Save As dialogue box. Notice, though that the File name text box is blank, and the Open button is not available. It has been greyed out.
The reason that the Open button is greyed out, and therefore not available, is that text box is empty. Once you select a file, the Open button will be ready for us.
But the text box is empty because no file has been selected. A file is selected from the larger white area in the middle. Clicking on the file once with the left hand mouse button will select a file. In the previous image, there was only one file available for selection - a document called "rrKeyCaps.doc". That is not the one we want.
To locate the file we want, we need to open the folder called "My WP Projects". Because that's where we saved it. You can see from the image that this folder is in the list of folders, just below the folder called My Pictures:

You can see also that we are in the folder called My Documents. To open up the folder we want, simply double click it. This will take us inside the My WP Projects:

The whole Open dialogue box now looks like this:

The file we want, Library Letter, has been clicked on. As a result, the Open button is no longer greyed out. We can go ahead and click it. When we do, our letter will open in Microsoft Word.
To recap then on how to open a file. Do the following
· Navigate to the folder where the file was saved
· Click on the file to select it
· Click the Open button
